PhD candidate in Hispanic Linguistics at The Ohio State University. Her research focuses on language contact scenarios in the Ecuadorian Andean region and the sociolinguistic processes and results of contact, especially in Quito. She studies cases of grammaticalization; linguistic commodification scenarios; and linguistic knowledge and ideologies.
